Things to do in Salou

Salou is a fantastic destination for a family holiday, and there are plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained. For shopping, head to Avenida Jaume I, where you can buy souvenirs and locally-made crafts. Browse the flea market that takes place near the centre of Salou or wander around the station where you’ll find boutique shops selling designer labels. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Salou is the Illuminated Fountain, where you can watch a choreographed show of dancing water, lights and music.

The two main beaches, Playa Ponent and Playa Llevant, offer a range of amenities including cafes, playgrounds and watersports and as such are a firm favourite with families. If you want to get away from the resort, the nearby beaches of Cala de la Vinya, Cala els Crancs, Cala Morisca, Cala de la Font and Cala de la Penya Tallada all offer golden sands which are perfect for sunbathing.
